We provide a non-judgmental, supportive, and safe space for you to work through the challenges you are facing.
At Vision Towards Peace, we pride ourselves on our talented and diverse team of licensed clinicians.
Vision Towards Peace began years ago with a quest for generational wellness when founder Erica Givner took her first Social Work class at the Community College of Allegheny County. Her commitment to combat the stereotypical stigma attached to African American’s seeking mental health wellness has remained undeterred. Her goal has always been to serve the community in which she was raised.
Vision Towards Peace has provided free mental health assessments and direct access to trauma-informed mental health care to over 3,500 individuals navigating the criminal justice system.
Founded in 2008 by Vision Towards Peace lead clinician Erica Givner, the counseling center continues to thrive.
Vision Towards Peace and it’s team of talented clinicians have worked with over 1,500 patients since 2008.
We offer one-on-one counseling with one of our licensed clinicians to individuals presenting with problems such as depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, and trauma, just to name a few.
We offer family counseling for two or more family members to address problems within the family system. Through this process we identify the current structure of the family and the desired structure.
We offer a variety of group counseling programs, led by our licensed clinicians, including a restorative parenting program, a women-only counseling group, as well as an anger management counseling group.
